The Shadow Armchair is a design piece part of RHNH '100' Project.
RHNH is asking 100 personas of our time to interpret this particular historical moment, a crossroads of past and technology, of artificiality and Nature.
Today, the dichotomy of this period is relevant and the '100' Project asks to crystallise this phenomena.
We ask 100 current personas such as architects, designers but also scientists, writers, artists, etc., to write a text explaining how they 'photograph' and 'feel' this historical moment and to create an object for living spaces that represents it.
We ask the idea behind their vision and how it shaped the object they created.
This is how the RHNH ‘100’ Project takes form: a collection of high historical and collectible value.
The objects, created in Limited Edition of only 24 pieces per author, form the RHNH Signature Collection.
The texts form the RHNH Book of 100.
The texts, digitally available each time an author 'captures' the moment, will be collected in a precious printed book to be sent free of charge to the collectors of all 100 visions.
Shadow Armchair infuse interior with the magic of Nature and its Seasons.
Its refined, fluid, and minimalistic line contrast with flourishing metal branches spreading from its base and the shadow of a bouganvillea impressed on its fabric.
Every season, Shadow Armchair is produced in a different version: with different febric matching the color and the feel of the Season. Also the shadow of the Bouganvillea impressed on the fabric changes as Seasons change.
Spring, presented during the Milano Design Week 2024 (images), has a green colour reminiscent of the new leaves of plants, summer will have the red of the sun’s warmth, autumn the deep blue of the skies in that season and winter the purple of certain winter sunsets.
The Shadow Armchair speaks of the passing of time and its recognisability even when we only extend a hand to where we are sitting staring at a computer screen.Designer Odilia Prisco spoke in her text about the passing and recognisability of the seasons, the repetitiveness of the event that coincides with the diversity of the found.
She has created the Shadow Armchair where the shadow of the moon changes as the seasons pass and branches emerge from under the armchair just after the satellite passes.

She has created the Shadow Armchair where the shadow of the moon changes as the seasons pass and branches emerge from under the armchair just after the planet passes. She explained this by creating a story/fairy tale
All 4 versions of the Shadow Armchair are produced in Limited Edition for a total of 24 pieces worldwide.
Every piece of the RHNH Signature Collection is unique and certified on the Ethereum Blockchain thanks to the patented technology of our Partner Native Digital SA.
RHNH, through their innovative patent Smart Dust DNA, assures unicity and certifies ownership of its pieces thanks to sub-millimeter-sized, virtually indestructible RFID tags.
These micro-transponders, embedded in the RHNH Shadow Armchair, generate a distinct digital fingerprint encrypted and stored permanently on the Ethereum Blockchain.
