RHNH was born with and in this particular historical moment where Design needs to merge with Nature and, in tune with the larger movement of all of the arts, also looks to the digital, opening and channeling within itself an interpretative evolution.
In this context, we believe we need living environments made of nature and technology, built with respect for the customs and traditions that through memory shape our present.
We need living environments that can endure this period of change.
We need objects of living that are the fruit of this historical period to remember.
In our contemporary world of physical and digital spaces, the unpredictable beauty of natural reality is the ultimate excellence and what we need most.
Also, this new reality should not forget the historical moment we live in and -drawing from the past- it should be built on the shoulders of giants: on the heritage of Design and the craftsmanship know-how we have inherited over the decades.
RHNH is asking 100 personas of our time to interpret this particular historical moment, a crossroads of past and technology, of artificiality and Nature.
Today, the dichotomy of this period is relevant and RHNH asks to crystallise this phenomena.
We ask 100 current personas such as architects, designers but also scientists, writers, artists, etc., to write a text explaining how they 'photograph' and 'feel' this historical moment and to create an object for living spaces that represents it.
We ask the idea behind their vision and how it shaped the object they created.
This is how the RHNH "100 Project" takes form: a collection of high historical and collectible value.
The objects, created in Limited Edition of only 24 pieces per author, form the RHNH Signature Collection.
Each object is crafted by top-tier Italian artisans, with carefully selected, precious, and natural materials. Every Designer chooses their Artisans to perfectly match what is needed to make their vision an asthonoshing physical object for living contemporary spaces.
Every piece of the RHNH Signature Collection is unique and certified on the Ethereum Blockchain thanks to the patented technology of our Partner Native Digital SA.
The Visions of this historical moment of change written by our 100 personas will be collected in the RHNH Book of 100.
The Visions are digitally available for collection each time an author 'captures' the moment. Then, all toghether, they will form a precious printed book to be sent free of charge to the collectors of all 100 Visions.
The inspiration for creating such a book starts from a far-sighted, and unfortunately unrealized project by Kurt Tucholsky, dating back to 1913. Tucholsky, in the Berlin of the time, wanted to establish a magazine of his own to call Orion. This lawyer/journalist/writer/poet and biting critic had thought of an "Epistolary Yearbook" that would collect the thoughts of the greats of the time on the moment they were living.
Unfortunately, it had only a promising beginning: Rainer Maria Rilke and Hermann Hesse had immediately accepted the invitation, sending a poem and a text.
